Who it may help

You may qualify if you get cash assistance or if your household income is below these amounts:

  • If your household size is 2, your yearly income must be at or below $6,601.24.
  • If your household size is 3, your yearly income must be at or below $8,155.48.
  • If your household size is 4, your yearly income must be at or below $9,707.70.
  • If your household size is 5, your yearly income must be at or below $11,260.94.
  • If your household size is 6, your yearly income must be at or below $12,814.18.
  • If your household size is 7, your yearly income must be at or below $13,105.40.
  • If your household size is 8, your yearly income must be at or below $13,396,64.
  • If your household size is 9, your yearly income must be at or below $13,687.87.
  • If your household size is 10, your yearly income must be at or below $13,979.10.
  • If your household size is 11, your yearly income must be at or below $14,270.33.
  • If your household size is 12, your yearly income must be at or below $14,561.56.
  • If your household size is 13, your yearly income must be at or below $14,852.79.
  • If your household size is 14, your yearly income must be at or below $15,144.03.
  • If your household size is 15, your yearly income must be at or below $15,435.26.
  • If your household size is 16, your yearly income must be at or below $15,726.49.
  • If your household size is 17, your yearly income must be at or below $16,017.72.
  • If your household size is 18, your yearly income must be at or below $16,308.95.
  • If your household size is 19, your yearly income must be at or below $16,600.18.
  • If your household size is 20, your yearly income must be at or below $16,891.41.

Families who work 10+ hours per week must make at least minimum wage ($16.50/hour) to qualify for child care assistance.

Each parent must have a qualifying reason for care:

  • In school or job training
  • Looking for work
  • Unhoused
  • Receiving domestic violence services
  • Receiving treatment for substance misuse

What you may need

Proof of identity, NYC residency, and household income may be required.
